This is a collection that strives to portray the essential ideas of the Seven Deadly Sins:･ﾟ✧:･ﾟ✧
WRATH
──── ୨୧ ────
To get inspiration for this dress I watched the movie Seven, which definitely gave me a darker perspective. I wanted serene white to be covering the under skirt of red, portraying anger bubbling over the surface.
GREED
──── ୨୧ ────
With greed I wanted to portray the rich stepping on the poor for their wealth, which is why I added dripping red and black under the gold top of the outfit. The gold is supposed to show the money gained from the lower classes work.
ENVY

Whenever I think of envy, I think of the people in society that constantly compare themselves to others which I wanted to incorporate using mirrors and silver. The bust using mirror shards and the skirt being shiny metal shows how she wants to reflect what’s around her.
SLOTH
──── ୨୧ ────
I wanted to depict an outfit that shows a worn and bug infested look, as if it was sitting in a closet for years and was eaten away by moths. I also wanted the outfit to have a bug related look due to Franz Kafka's "The Metamorphosis".
GLUTTONY

When I first thought of gluttony I thought of the phrase “Let them eat cake” throughout history. Greed to me is very tied to overconsumption of anything, including money and power.
LUST
──── ୨୧ ────
Lust is a very complicated and interesting sin that can be described in a variety of ways depending on the person, but I wanted to just show the basic idea of what lust is in my eyes, a sexual desire.
PRIDE
──── ୨୧ ────
Pride is an unstable idea that is derived from your achievements, so although it is very admired it’s fragile underneath. I wanted to show this via armor that doesn’t cover several vulnerable areas, contrasted with a white fabric.
